NOCCA Backstage Usage Policy NOCCA|Riverfront provides students, faculty, and alumni to access NOCCA Backstage, the interactive social community for NOCCA. It is essential that everyone who uses this connection understand its purpose and is aware that it is monitored by NOCCA administration. Anyone found committing unacceptable usage of backstage will be subject to protocol review and a possible lawsuit. Unacceptable uses of the NOCCA Backstage include, but are not limited to the following: * 1. Using profanity, obscenity or other language that may be offensive to another user. * 2. Making any threat against anyone. * 3. Users must use only their assigned account/password. It is a safety violation to give access to their account to any other user. * 4. Information may not be posted if it violates the privacy of others, jeopardizes the health and safety of others, is obscene or libelous, causes disruption of school activities, plagiarizes, or is a commercial advertisement. * 5. Copying the works of others and plagiarizing them. The standard academic penalties are severe. Plagiarism: the use of other’s words or ideas without proper attribution. * 6. Any use not in keeping with the NOCCA|Riverfront educational mission. * 7. Students should think of NOCCA backstage as a personal reflection of themselves. Students should be able to ask themselves and respond affirmatively to: * Would I be comfortable sharing what I am working on or posting to: My parents? My Department Chair? NOCCA Administration? * Students unsure of any rules or policies regarding appropriate use of technology should ask a member of the school faculty or administration. To ensure that the use of the technology resources is consistent with NOCCA’s mission, authorized representatives of NOCCA may monitor the use of its systems at their discretion.
